Read the illustrated vocabulary on the left, then find its Pinyin spelling in the grid on the right. Follow the spellings and any accents or tone marks shown on the page. The first two grids use words going across or down; the film-and-television grid uses all eight directions, including diagonals and backwards words.

Use the pictures to recall meanings before searching. After a puzzle, cover the translations and choose three words to revisit the next day.
